2016 NFL Power Rankings: Carolina Panthers

Below you will find a table of Carolina Panthers results in our 2016 NFL Power Rankings.

Initial30-0Coming off a career-best season, Cam Newton became the ninth Heisman Trophy winner to also win an NFL MVP award and the first to do since Barry Sanders (1997). On defense, the Panthers have one of the league's best front-sevens, but they rescinded their franchise tag on shutdown corner Josh Norman, who signed a free-agent deal with Washington.
Post-Draft40-0Typical for Dave Gettleman, the Panthers drafted a defensive lineman -- Louisana Tech's Vernon Butler -- in the first round. Then the team proceeded to draft cornerbacks with their next three picks -- James Bradberry (Round 2), Daryl Worley (Round 3) and Zack Sanchez (Round 5).
Week 160-0Preseason win projection: 12-4
Week 270-1After a tough loss in a Super Bowl rematch, the Panthers are this week's biggest favorites and projected to score the most points based on Vegas odds.
Week 351-1After missing all of last season, Kelvin Benjamin has 13 catches for 199 yards and three touchdowns in two games. Once again, the Panthers lead the NFL in scoring offense (33.0 PPG).
